How long have you been a member at 5280 CrossFit?
I started Crossfit (at 5280 CrossFit) in April of 2015.
Where are you from?
I have lived in Colorado my entire life.
Are you married, single, in a relationship?
I am married and have 4 children ages 10, 8, 5, and 10 months. We also have a golden doodle and a cat.
When you’re not CrossFitting, what do you like to do?
I like spending time with my family. We spend time in Frisco where we love to hike, bike and ski. We also enjoy travel and attending our kids sporting events.
How do you make time for CrossFit in your weekly schedule? What’s helped you stay committed?
I find it is easiest for me to go in the morning. When my husband is in town I try to attend the 7am class. It starts my day off strong and I am home by the time my kids start to get up and before the day gets busy.
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
I like that the workouts are self paced. I was intimidated by Crossfit at first, but I have learned that anyone can do the workout. I have seen results and feel much stronger, even in just a few short months.
Favorite/least favorite WOD or movement?
Anything that might tear my hands up (thankfully, my hands have been just fine!) 🙂
What is your “Goal Board” goal? Do you have any long term CrossFit goals?
My goal is to show up 3 times per week. Long term I would love to be able to do a pull up and strengthen my core.
What would you tell someone who is nervous to try CrossFit?
They won’t yell at you. I promise… (I didn’t want to start CrossFit because I thought the coaches would yell at me – no worries about that at 5280).
What do you love about 5280 CrossFit?
I really appreciate the coaches. They give each member personalized attention, and help them work towards their goals. I would have never lifted weights at a traditional gym. The coaches have helped me to do the moves correctly, determine appropriate weight, and maintain proper form. I feel stronger and more confident because of their coaching!
